The VFS-WHA/10 Heat Alarm is BSI Kitemark certified under KM 715769 and complies with BS 5446-2:2003, providing independent assurance that the alarm has been assessed against the relevant British Standard for heat alarm devices used in dwellings. The recognised BSI Kitemark gives installers, contractors and homeowners added confidence in the alarm’s quality, safety and performance.

Designed to complement smoke alarms as part of a complete domestic fire protection system, the VFS-WHA/10 is particularly suitable for locations where dust, fumes, steam or moisture could cause nuisance activations from conventional smoke alarms. Recommended applications include kitchens, boiler rooms, laundry/utility rooms and garages. Its heat sensor responds within a specified 54°C–65°C activation range, making it suitable for areas where heat detection is preferable to smoke detection.

The VFS-WHA/10 features a sealed, non-replaceable 3V lithium battery, eliminating the need for routine battery replacement, together with a powerful >85dB(A) alarm at 3 metres and an approximately 8-minute silence function. A major advantage is its built-in wireless interconnection, allowing up to 40 compatible VFS wireless alarms to be linked together. When one interconnected alarm detects a fire condition, the other linked alarms will also sound, helping provide warning throughout the property without the need for interconnect wiring.
